I had the opportunity to photograph at such a gorgeous venue but I was even more blessed that my friend Dan and his amazing wife Erika asked me to capture their wedding day. I have known Dan since Junior Year in college at VCU (Go Rams!!!). When they asked me to shoot their wedding I was so excited!!! Erika is truly the best and they compliment each other so well.
The best part of the day was when the bridal party walked down the aisle and the horses in the stables, where the ceremony took place, were actually giggling. The guests, including Duke and I , could not help but laugh. It was so cute! It was definitely the coolest ceremony I have been to. Throughout the day storms brewed on the outskirts of the mountains but they never fully got to the venue. They got super lucky!! The love from family and friends was so grand and Erika’s dad and brother gave the sweetest speeches as well as the maid of honor, best man and Dan’s older brother. I loved that Erika and Dan were willing to sneak away during golden hour to take a couple pictures and they are some of my favorite from the day.
Dear Erika & Dan,
I cannot thank you both enough for giving me the opportunity and taking a chance on me to capture the most important day in ya’ll’s lives thus far. It truly is an honor and a privilege! Seeing Dan’s look on his face while you were walking down the aisle, Erika, was priceless and so so sweet! I can tell you two were really meant for each other. I hope you two enjoy these sneaks because I am “literally dying” over them! Love you two and I hope you enjoy your little getaway!
With love and a happy heart,
Morgan Renee
