Mary-Taylor & Patrick’s Love Story:
We met on Tinder! I was living in Richmond at the time, and I came home for 1 week to visit my mom in between Spring and Summer classes at VCU. I met Patrick in person at Chick’s Beach on what was supposed to be my last day in town. (I ended up changing my bus ticket and staying another day just to see him again.) We hit it off right away, and I think we definitely knew there was something special between us! The next weekend his sister was getting married in Northern Virginia, so he stopped in Richmond on Sunday on his way home for our first real date. We had the most amazing time getting to know each other more and having lunch at The Daily in Carytown and going to the river. After that…. “the rest is history!” 🙂
Mary-Taylor and Patrick’s wedding was one for the books y’all! Planning a having a wedding during a global pandemic is not easy but they did it! I had the best time with everyone and it felt amazing to get back to it!
On Friday, June 19, 2020 the weather was looking beautiful after a long week of storms and rain! Their wedding was my first wedding back since the quarantine and having my sweet Lorenzo. For those of you who do not know, I had the sweetest boy on April 30th and been getting all the baby snuggles in ever since! For all my working mama’s and business owning mama’s, I have so much respect for you! Leaving my boy for a whole day to photograph their wedding was bittersweet. I sure did miss the rush of a wedding day and what better couple to share this experience with other than Mary-Taylor and Patrick! They are so much fun to be around and both so down to earth! Mary Taylor and Patrick have the sweetest love and to know it and watch it grow is amazing! Mary-Taylor was missing her groom all morning and could not wait to see him and marry her best friend.
Here is a little peek into their wedding day:
First look is always so beautiful to watch!
We did their first look on the Church grounds and following that the bridal party portraits! Time to get married!
The Attic at Waterman’s was a perfect intimate space for their guests!
Always good to sneak away during the reception to get a few golden hour beach portraits!
Finished off the night with some dancing, toasts, and cake!
Mary-Taylor & Patrick,

Morgan Renee
